We are seeking a General Labourer who is self-motivated, has construction experience and an interest in to join our team at Fourteen Estates. For over 40 years, Fourteen Estates has been leading the industry in building customers their dream homes and developing land into beautiful communities. As a Labourer, you will be required to work closely with all on-site trades and employees on site and in the office. You will be a representative of our company in the field, and will be able to take pride in the finished results. 

The Labourer must be willing to work 5 days a week 8:00 am-5:00pm, with the occasional Saturday and earlier start time. Must be able to perform construction tasks and jobs that involve physical labour at various construction sites to ensure construction details and deadlines are met in a timely and quality workmanship manner. The specific tasks of this role include construction, carpentry, day to day clean-up of site, erecting scaffolding, cleaning and preparation of houses and work sites, and operation of a variety of hand and power tools, loading and unloading of vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials, assist carpenters, masons and other trades and specialized contractors and other daily jobs. Training will be provided and on-site support will be available.

Qualifications and Mandatories

  • A Labourer must be hardworking, able bodied and able to follow instructions rapidly and proficiently.
  • Able to provide support to Site Supervisor or Management through various hands-on construction and site tasks.
  • Have experience in the construction field and able to carry out carpentry tasks.
  • Compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements.
  • A drivers license and own vehicle to travel to multiple job sites as required.
  • Ability to communicate in English, efficiently and respectfully with all trades, clients and staff on site.
  • Ability to listen, learn, execute and retain knowledge for future similar jobs.
  • Asset to have own tools.
  • Starting location is in Pigeon Lake near Bobcaygeon
