As a DevOps & System Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in creating, maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure. You'll orchestrate seamless deployments, ensuring reliability and scalability across our systems. From managing configurations to automating workflows, you'll streamline our development processes and enhance efficiency. Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS or GCP, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using tools like Ansible, or Terraform.
Manage server updates, upgrades, and patches to ensure system security and performance
Manage and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable automated build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and enhance system reliability.
Provide architectural guidance to development and product teams regarding the implementation of various technologies and systems.
Write scripts in Bash and Python to automate various tasks
Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security posture, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
Continually improve monitoring and reliability by creating new monitors and automation to keep services online
Document processes, procedures, and configurations to maintain a reliable knowledge base and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and scripting tasks.
~ Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
~ Catharines office on infrequent occasions.
