Shifts are Early morning, Afternoon, Evening, and you get to decide when and who you work for.
Hourly Rate: $35 - $45 per hour, and sometimes more for a variety of roles. The ability to pick and choose shifts that meet your availability and interests

Start work immediately upon approval - as quickly as two days from now
Your mission is to provide safe, patient-centered care with a focus on excellence. You are expected as part of our team to be flexible and willing to accept last-minute shifts while negotiating a work schedule that aligns with your availability and interests.
Providing nursing care within the scope of the RPN practice
Using sound nursing principles to ensure excellent care is delivered to all residents in assigned home area(s)
Ensuring safekeeping of controlled drugs and narcotics
Participating in care planning and support residents to meet their goals by adhering to their care plan
Collaborating with all stakeholders to foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care. This includes residents, family members, multidisciplinary team members, unregulated health care providers etc.
Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the Provincial health regulatory College
Current First Aid with CPR
knowledge of behavioural support programs, dementia care and rehabilitation an asset
Proven experience in leading unregulated care providers
Basic computer proficiency to be able to use onsite documentation tools
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), Coroners Act, College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice and other pertinent Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statues which influence the operation of the Nursing Home and more specifically the nursing department.
