We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Geologist with a strong background in Coal for our client in Northern BC. If you are looking for a challenging career that will take you from permitting through exploration, and into production at an active mine, this is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Plan, design, oversee, and execute geological mapping, sampling, and drilling campaigns
  • Analyze and interpret geological data to guide exploration initiatives
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data to produce reliable resource estimates, geological mapping, and reports
  • Identify and utilize QA/QC processes to increase the effectiveness of sampling programs
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive geochemistry database

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Geology
  • A post-graduate degree, specializing in exploration or mineral deposits would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in mineral exploration with 2+ years specifically in coal
  • Experience developing geological models
  • Good hands-on experience in the design and management of soil geochemistry and drilling programs
  • Competence in Leapfrog, ArcGIS, ioGas, acQuire
