Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic software engineer to develop our next-generation AI/ML platform used in the development of Autodesk’s suite of products and services. Join our dynamic and rapidly expanding team to help build innovative capabilities that enable faster and more secure development of generative AI solutions, bolstering the intelligence of our software products, across various domains including construction, manufacturing, and media & entertainment. You will collaborate with research and product engineering spanning the construction, manufacturing, and entertainment sectors, to deliver platform that supports full ML development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Core Platform: Engineer robust backend systems for our AI/ML Platform, taking an active role in the entire Machine Learning development cycle from concept to deployment

Innovation: Continuously identify and implement improvements in the Machine Learning development pipeline, increasing efficiency and promoting the adoption of best practices across the team

Workflow Automation: Contribute to the creation of advanced systems that automate and optimize laborious processes, integrating them seamlessly into our platform to streamline operations

Deployment Expertise: Collaborate on the design of sophisticated tools for seamless production deployment of ML artifacts, ensuring a fluid transition from prototype to production

Data Engineering: Enable large-scale data, constructing robust data stores that serve as the backbone for ML model training and experimentation evaluation

Ownership: Assume responsibility for specific platform components, responsible for progress and quality to ensure the platform's success and reliability

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

Over 2 years of experience in software development and engineering, with a record of contributing to production systems and services

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, scripting languages and SQL

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to break down problems into manageable components

Good communication and collaboration skills, fostering teamwork and effective information exchange

Cloud Technologies: Some experience with Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technologies

Exposure to big data technologies, including NoSQL, Spark, Hive, and data pipelines

Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including CI/CD & test-driven development

Preferred Qualifications

Some exposure to deploying ML-enabled projects and solutions to production environments

Some experience with AWS SageMaker, Azure ML or other cloud machine-learning platforms

Familiarity with DevOps or MLOps practices

Some exposure to open-source Large Language Models on Hugging Face like Llama & Minstral

Some exposure to ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, Pandas, and ScikitLearn
