Status: Full-time Contract (18-months)
Location : Head office (5200 Orbitor Drive, Mississauga)/Hybrid
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Community Investment, the Change Communications Manager will lead strategic and tactical communications throughout Gay Lea Foods’ ongoing business and cultural transition, working with cross-functional teams and project managers to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and empowered throughout the change process.
Develop Change Communication Strategies: Design comprehensive communication plans tailored to various organizational changes, process improvements, and project updates that ensure timely and consistent delivery of key messages to Gay Lea Foods employees and members.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, leadership, and project managers, to align communication efforts with organizational goals and project timelines.
Provide Change Communication Resources: Monitor Feedback and Adjust Strategies: Collect feedback and track key performance metrics to gauge the effectiveness of communication efforts and resistance to change. Use insights to refine communication strategies as needed.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in organizational communication, change management, or related roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with change management methodologies and best practices in communication strategy development.
Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and enterprise social networking platforms.
Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
This is a hybrid role, requiring an estimated two-days per week working from the co-operative’s head office in Mississauga, Ontario.
