Fabrication Shop Manager / Machine Shop Foreman - Welding Manager Custom Machinery Manufacturing Metal Fabrication Location: Brampton – Mississauga area ON Compensation: 120K - 150K , benefits 5 days a week on Site Day shift Monday -Friday Minimum Experience Required (MUST have): Supervisory / leadership experience in custom metal fabrication under Canadian Health & Safety Requirements MUST be close to 10 years Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom equipment manufacturing for mining and similar applications and have a job open for Fabrication Shop Manager / Machine Shop Foreman for custom machinery manufacturing to oversee Production, Material & production Planning , Purchasing and vendor Management, Shipping and work closely with Sales and in house Engineering. This is an expansion role in the West Mississauga-Milton-Guelph area . Hands on Fabrication / machining/ welder experience with 10+ years in running fabrication shops under Canadian H&S requirements is a MUST have. Fabrication Shop Manager / Machine Shop Foreman is fully responsible for giving leadership to the plant shop floor -CNC Lathe, Cutting , bending welding within this custom fabrication plant and be responsible for Production Planning, Production scheduling , Material Planning and supervising processes in CNC, Lathe, Cutting, Bending, Welding and similar. You will be responsible for scheduling, safety, performance management, coaching and mentoring. You will oversee the shift budget ensure production planning, material planning, production scheduling, shipping receiving. You will work along Plant Engineering Process Improvement for any Continuous Improvement lean initiatives. Fabrication Shop Manager / Machine Shop Foreman will ideally have a 10+ years as welder/ welder fitter/ machinist with 10+ years as shop foreman / Plant Manager / a minimum of 12-15 years’ leadership experience as production manager within Canadian Health & Safety requirements within custom machining welding metal fabrication environment Hands-on welding experience / experienced welder (MIG TIG ) with leadership / management/ team lead experience highly preferred.
