With us, you will be in the forefront of enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the role as Software Architect.
Reporting to the Director Engineering, the Software Architect will be responsible for owning and leading the design, development, and sustaining efforts for the software application suite. This is a key role requiring full-stack development understanding, knowledge of design patterns, and software engineering practices. This individual will guide and direct the efforts of local and remote hybrid development teams.
Lead a software team’s efforts to successfully complete sonar software development and sustaining projects on time and target.
Collaborate with product managers and other relevant stakeholders to define software requirements, ensure accurate representation of product features and functionality, and make sure deadlines are met.
Provide architectural design, roadmap, and technical leadership to development teams.
Develop system architectures based on scalable design and coding patterns.
Design, code, test, debug, and document high quality sonar software.
Work within the group to continuously improve the software development processes.
Identify and incorporate new technologies consistent with company goals.
A University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
4+ years of software team tech leadership experience.
10+ years of experience in software design and development.
Full stack experience ranging from embedded firmware to desktop software.
Expert in C++ and object-oriented design.
Software system architecture and design
Operating systems (Windows, Linux, FreeRTOS), Realtime systems
Agile processes and methodologies
System integration and test
Experience working with remote software development teams.
Working knowledge of electronic assemblies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Strong training, coaching and mentoring skills.
