Solution Architect – eCommerce

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience in eCommerce and OmniChannel solutions
  • Online product and sales solution architecture experience
  • Marketplace experience (nice to have)

Scope of the Role:

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions that align with business requirements and the organization's strategic objectives. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, and project managers, to ensure that solutions are technically robust, scalable, and cost-effective. The Solution Architect provides technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business teams to conduct discovery sessions and IT reviews.
  • Ensure that the eCommerce strategy aligns with partner integration roadmaps.
  • Provide technical guidance and establish technology roadmaps for various projects, including eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, eLink).

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • Partner integration with third-party SaaS providers using SAML and third-party SDKs (e.g., Blueink).
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles to ensure secure API and EDI transactions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration capabilities.
  • Expertise in web service protocols, including REST (XML/JSON), SOAP, GraphQL, and webhooks.
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and model complex systems, identifying patterns and designing coherent architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize solutions.

Business Acumen:

  • Ability to align API and EDI solutions with business goals and long-term strategies.
  • Experience managing projects, timelines, and resources effectively.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability:

  • Willingness to stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and evolving business needs.
