Join our team as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and become an integral part of a dynamic at Newmont. We offer a stimulating work environment, competitive compensation, opportunities for growth and advancement, and relocation support of $7,500 for candidates relocating more than 80km.
Utilize your advanced knowledge of heavy-duty equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a timely and efficient manner.
-Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
-Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.
-Technical Analysis: Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements, modifications, or upgrades to enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.
-Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
-Training & Experience
-Valid certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck and Coach Technician or Automotive Service Technician.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
-Location: This position is located at the Dome site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine Site near Timmins, ON. As such, if you do not live near the site, we will require you to relocate.
Uncertified Tradesperson/Apprentices = $3,000.
