Baycrest Hospital has an opportunity for an
Pharmacy Department
Position Type: Temporary Part-time
(Shift Type: Days/Evenings, some weekends (subject to change)
Hourly Rate: $46.Bi-Weekly Hours: 60 Hours
Baycrest Pharmacy Services support all inpatient units and programs. Some of the major functions of the department are purchasing and inventory management of medications, unit dose drug distribution with bar-code checking, and IV admixtures. Identifies, prevents and resolves drug-related problems by conducting medication reviews, and developing and monitoring patient care plans. Ensures the seamlessness of continuum of care by conducting medication reconciliation when patients are transferred to or discharged from Baycrest
Participates in departmental medication management projects and Pharmacy clinical programs
Provides education to Pharmacy students as per the requirements of the Faculties of Pharmacy (University of Toronto and University of Waterloo)
Provides oversight and direction for Pharmacy Technician(s)
Current and valid license to practice as a Pharmacist from the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
Hospital Pharmacy Residency from an accredited institution or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
