TalentWorld is recruiting a Class 1 Truck Driver in Fort St. John, British Columbia for one of our clients. Responsibilities- Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Deliver products to designated locations in a timely manner, while providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Always follow safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations such as TDG and WHMIS
- Assist with other duties as needed, such as warehouse tasks or equipment maintenance.
- Represent the company in a professional manner, both on the road and when interacting with customers or the public.
- Possession of a valid Class 1 or Class AZ driver's license
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean commercial driver's abstract in good standing
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, including criminal record check.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing as per company policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 60lbs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and regulations
- Salary: $30-32HR
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent employment, Full-time, Onsite
- Schedule: 6:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday to Friday
