The Ministry of Social Services Service Delivery Branch requires a highly skilled permanent full-time Supervisor located in Saskatoon Service Delivery office. The successful candidate will provide guidance and coaching to Income Assistance Service Delivery staff to ensure effective, compassionate, and non-judgmental client service to individuals with varying needs, issues, and concerns. You will be a positive role model with experience in providing in person service to Income Assistance clients and be aware of systemic barriers such as impacts of poverty and socio-economic issues. It is required that the successful candidate have knowledge of and experience with Income Assistance regulations and policies and the ability to provide consultation on policy, regulations, and procedural issues to Income Assistance Workers. Direct supervision experience in Income Assistance Service Delivery, including supervising Planning and Support Specialists and Assured Income Specialists is preferred. Experience with Human Resource practices, such as recruiting and sustaining employees and dealing with stress in the workplace, is also required. You will have knowledge of relevant community services and principles of Social Work. You will have experience in delivering presentations on Ministry programs and working jointly with ministry partners and community organizations. The ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize work in order to manage fluctuating work volumes/workflow is necessary. It is required the successful candidate has experience in dealing in person with clients who display a broad range of emotions and behaviors. Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Indigenous Social Work, or related course of study.
