HSE Coordinator

Key Information:

  • Minimum 3 years working as a Safety Coordinator or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to deliver and participate in safety meetings, training, orientation, inspections and incident follow up.
  • Hours: The typical hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM but is dependent on project needs.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

  • Participate in morning toolbox talks.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • Review workers FLHA's.
  • Deliver project site safety orientation on an as-needed basis.
  • Organize safety training as required.
  • Gather all daily safety documents and scan into job folders.
  • Organize and participate in weekly inspections.
  • Support all field safety documentation.
  • Incident follow up and investigation.
  • Tracking project site safety stats.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid CSTS (Construction Safety Training Systems) certification.
  • NCSO certificate .
  • Travel is required - a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
  • Must possess current WHMIS 2015 and CSTS .
  • Minimum 3 years working as a Safety Coordinator or equivalent experience.
  • May require successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing depending on project site.
  • Investigation training with root cause analysis experience.
  • Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection training are considered an asset.
  • Extremely proficient administrative skills and a highly professional demeanor required.
  • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education : NCSO Certificate or equivalent experience required.
