Canada Blumenthal Arts Full time

Designs and produces digital advertising and collateral materials, builds email marketing campaigns, and maintains website content to drive ticket sales and support institutional marketing and branding for Blumenthal Arts. Measures and reports on key digital metrics and analytics. Maintains day-to-day relationship with digital and print providers. Works closely with event marketing team to promote events in the digital space. Assists Digital Communications and Creative Content Director with social media content creation for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities 

Daily, creates and designs original digital artwork and edits branded artwork provided by others to produce digital ads, emails, digital brochures, website art and other digital marketing materials needed for the Blumenthal marketing team and other Blumenthal departments.

Coordinates delivery and installation of physical signage (3-sheets, Hearst, Knight windows, etc.).

Coordinates with warehouse team on storing and delivering signage assets as needed. 

Works closely with other marketing team members, senior leadership, and contractors in conceptualizing creative and translating concepts into finished graphics and editorial content that comply with assigned budgets and project goals.

Works closely with other marketing team members to find new and innovative ways to promote events, including content development and special promotions to drive growth in patron engagement and ticket sales.

Construct pages and assist with general maintenance of CarolinaTix.org, BlumenthalArts.org, MadeInCLT.com, and CharlotteArtsFest.com using the software that drives Blumenthal websites.

Evaluates performance of email campaigns and websites through analytics platforms and maintains digital dashboards within Google Analytics and other metrics software. Recommends A/B testing of email campaigns and website design changes as needed. Creates and distributes high-detail reports to the marketing team and other departments as needed.

Monitors digital performance across all campaigns on a regular basis and addresses technical and data issues, working towards a quick resolution with partners.

Responsible for pixel placement and digital ad tracking through Google tag manager.

Assists Digital Communications and Creative Content Director in capturing, creating, and posting social media content (photos, videos, graphics, etc.) for Tik Tok, Facebook, and other platforms.

Responsible for the cataloguing and importing of historical records for Blumenthal Arts, including photographs, videos, newspaper clips and other designated documents, into a digital archive.

Research/verify key details like associated event; date; purpose; people appearing in photos, etc. on items selected for archiving. Present findings to supervisors for approvals.

Scan and uploading selected materials into a digital archive using the designated software and scanner. 

Cataloguing the uploaded items with key identifying information and keywords. 

Prepare 90-day calendar and rack calendar under the supervision of the Marketing Business Manager. Follows up as needed.

Works closely with Encore Sales Manager in planning Playbill pages for Broadway engagements and builds Attraction Playbills as needed.

Maintains knowledge of current trends and standards in graphic design.

Assist marketing teams with event coordination or occasionally work evenings. 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications  

Requires an associate degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field supplemented by two or more years of experience in graphic design, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Strongly desire experience in digital design specifically.

Must be highly proficient in the use of graphic design software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Premier, and Photoshop, and can master new technology platforms with training, including the system driving Blumenthal websites and ESP.

The ideal candidate will be highly creative, but also attentive to detail and deadlines. Speed in handling production art tasks and routine responsibilities related to email platform and website technology is also necessary.

Strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to check and proof work accurately is also essential.

Social media savvy. Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok and other emerging platforms a must. Must be able to deliver high-quality video, photography, and designs.
