We strive to ensure Cachet is a great place to work for all our team members and are committed to building a best-in-class, values-driven organization that positively impacts the lives of our employees, customers, communities, and environment.Your RoleReporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and ensuring a clean and safe work environment at our site. The appropriate candidate must have 2 or more years of low-rise residential experience in a high-volume production environment.Responsibilities:Identify actual and potential workplace hazards and proactively resolve issuesInspect the workplace regularly and resolve any issues promptlyMake recommendations to Cachet and the Site Super about health and safety in the workplace and ways to continue to develop and improve our SOPObtain health and safety-related information and paperwork and ensure all paperwork is organized and well managedEnsure a clean and safe working environment at all times on siteInstall safety rails as necessary and any other safety materials requiredChair JHSC meetings with staff and trade partnersChair site safety meetings with internal staff, as necessaryManage and coordinate all safety materials and documents necessary to ensure efficient tracking of safety violations, warnings, inspections etc.Assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent as necessaryWork as a team in order to meet tight deadlinesBuild relationships with inspectors, staff, trades, and homeownersWhat You Bring:2 years or more of residential construction experience in health and safety in a fast-paced high-volume environmentExtensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other health and safety regulations.Health and safety training and certification an assetStrong organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills required, both oral and written.
