Tax Accountant

Our esteemed client, a leading firm in the financial services sector, is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Tax Accountant to join their dynamic team.
As a Tax Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Tax Lead and become an integral part of the Tax Department. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities, from comprehensive tax preparation for a diverse clientele to enhancing client communication and internal processes. Responsibilities- Accurately prepare and file tax returns for clients, adhering to all tax laws and regulations.
- Produce detailed fiduciary accounting records that meet the highest standards of accuracy.
- Manage the tax filing schedule and ensure the efficient collection and organization of necessary client documentation.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to address client queries and provide updates on tax return statuses.
- Conduct training sessions and provide support to both administrative and professional staff, bolstering their capabilities in tax services.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm’s products and services through innovation and collaboration.
- Identify and implement improvements in tax preparation and filing processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Keep abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Foster positive and enduring relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to the firm.
- Leverage advanced technology to streamline tax preparation and filing processes, enhancing overall efficiency and client service.
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting, with a solid foundation in Canadian T1 and T3 tax preparation.
- A proactive team player who thrives in both team and independent settings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to embrace and utilize new technologies.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a PTIN and CRA RepID.
- A positive, optimistic outlook and a strong desire for personal and professional development.
- Demonstrates radical accountability and embraces challenges.
- Bilingual in French and English.
