Alberta CPA Community Ambassadors - Board of Directors

Join the dynamic team of Alberta CPA's Community Ambassadors

Since 2016, we've connected Chartered Professional Accountants with non-profit groups in Calgary and Edmonton, resulting in numerous successful volunteer matches. Now, amidst rapid change, we're expanding our impact across Alberta and seeking 2-5 entrepreneurial, impact-focused CPAs and student CPAs to join our board.

As a board member, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's vision and strategy. We're particularly interested in individuals with expertise in digital media, marketing, communication, member engagement, community building, and hybrid event organization. Additional skills in Alberta's non-profit sector and Google Suite are a plus.

You'll collaborate with passionate volunteers, including finance leaders, early-career CPAs, and impact-focused entrepreneurs. Your commitment will enhance the collective volunteering experience for Alberta CPAs while making a tangible difference in our community. As a member of the Alberta-registered not-for-profit organization's board, a director acts in a position of trust. We are collectively responsible for the effectiveness of our organization and programming.

To help scale our impact across the province, we are seeking  candidates in the cities of  Edmonton, Lethbridge, and Red Deer

For the next 12-18 months, we are specifically seeking volunteers with experiences in the following areas:

  • Members Engagement and Community Building; and
  • Event Organization.

We also welcome volunteers with additional skills in:

To apply, submit your resume along with 1) a brief statement (under 100 words) explaining your interest in joining our team.

Other Opportunities:

We are also actively looking for 1-3 committee members across Alberta to support our directors with our green-field projects and programs. Please reply to this posting clearly stating your interest in being a committee member. This is a great opportunity for early-career CPAs or CPA students looking to dip their toes into long-term volunteering.
