We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a medical device company located in Markham, ON. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have full product life cycle responsibility. Reporting to the VP Engineering,
They will be responsible for:
Design, develop, build , test and deliver medical accessories and products.
Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testing and service in mind (DFx) with strong attention to detail.
Analyze and understand applicable codes, standards and regulations to ensure compliance. e.g. IEC 60601
Lead full product development cycle from concept to production and close on schedule with complete documentation.
Create requirement documents, risk assessments, engineering drawings, manuals, instructions, test plans and other documentation as needed.
Support production, quality and purchasing on reviews, transition, problem-solving and process improvement.

You will possess:
~ Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering Technology
~ Elgible for P.Eng or EIT
~5+ years of experience using GD&T and ASME Y 14.5
~5+ years of experinece using SolidWorks and Solidworks Product Data Management (PDM). Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP).
~5+ years of Project Management experience in a manfuacturing environment.
~5+ years working with engineering drawings, bill of materials, engineering, documents, design release and change control processees.
~ Experience in designing parts for a variety of fabrication techniques (CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Forming, Metal Casting, Plastic Molding, 3D Printing).
~ Ability to use inspection tools and use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and FEA Analysis
~ Experience with Machinery, Consumer Product or Medical Device design.
