BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.
BIOVECTRA Inc. has opening for Quality System Administration Associate. This is a permanent, full- time position located in Charlottetown, PEI .
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Administration of EQMSs (Electronic Quality Management Systems such as Master Control, NuGenesis LMS etc).
- Manage ticketing system by timely delegation, escalation, and completion of user queries/events.
- Prepare and trend system administration related Key Performance Indicators such as right first time.
- Create and implement system related change control requests,
- Perform risk assessments to support/justify system changes.
- Review and Revise SOPs/Work Instructions related to EQMSs.
- Investigate system issues and take timely actions to minimize any operational impact .
- Support configuration, validation and testing of EQMS development projects.
- Manage User Training – Develop materials; deliver webinar or in-person training.
- Travelling between NS and PE sites on a frequent basis for training and support.
- Respond to Internal and External Customer and Regulatory Audit Requests related to EQMSs.
- Timely escalation of problems and issues to their supervisor to prevent any delays and risk compliance.
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA’s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
- Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor’s request.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
- Post-Secondary Education.
- One year direct experience in a Quality Unit position.
- Three years of work experience in a similar role in food or drug manufacturing company is an asset.
- Working knowledge of MS office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Working experience in a similar role in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar industry is an asset.
- Strong written and oral communications skills are necessary, as this position requires interaction with various levels of management, as well as interaction with external technical support teams.
- Candidate must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Candidates must be prepared to travel between NS and PE sites on a frequent basis for training and support.
Entry is salary based on education and skills: $48,516
