Requirements: Bachelor of Education

Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligible for teacher certification in Alberta

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

● Bachelor of Education.

● Experience teaching in an elementary school setting.

● Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy and Differentiated

Instruction practices.

● Effective organizational and classroom management skills is imperative.

● Ability to integrate and use technology in the classroom.

● Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans as well as implement the plan for

students.

● A strong ability to build relationships with elementary school students and parents.

● A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.

● A commitment to continuous professional growth.

● Knowledge of Leader In Me and Apple School programs.

● The ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment and in

professional learning communities.

● A willingness to participate in school community and extracurricular activities.

● A commitment to continuous professional growth.

● Knowledge of anti-bullying strategies is an asset.

● Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
