Horizon Recruitment Inc. is searching for an experienced Category Manager to join our BC based client. The Category Manager oversees strategic product portfolio vision and category performance optimization, mentoring team members for robust, market-aligned categories while ensuring profitability. They collaborate in strategy execution, vendor relations, and assortment efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate on category strategy execution aligned with business goals.
Analyze category performance, suggest improvements, and implement based on data.
Develop budgets for efficient cost management and profitability.
Category strategies contribute to business goals.
Key metrics like sales, market share, and margin are effectively tracked and improved.
Operational efficiency goals are consistently met.
Manage relationships with large suppliers, ensure adherence to benchmarks, and negotiate contracts for mutual benefit.
Effective communication with suppliers and timely issue resolution.
Suppliers adhere to benchmarks and negotiate favorable terms.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and communication within the team.
Collaborate with Buying, Marketing, and Sales Teams for optimal inventory, promotions, and documentation.
Effective communication and support within the team.
Coordination of product launches and documentation updates.
Requirements:
~ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
~4-7 years of category management or related experience
~ Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, adept at dynamic strategy execution

Remuneration:
~$80-85K

**Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered**
