Our client is a Canadian leader in livestock nutrition who specializes in producing high-quality products for customers across Canada under multiple business divisions. As part of the Nutrition Team, a Monogastric Nutritionist plays an important role in providing swine expertise while enhancing customer service and supporting new product development. Reporting to the Senior Monogastric Nutritionist, you will:

Provide technical support to the sales team with expertise in swine nutrition, delivering accurate and timely responses, feed and nutrition information, data, and analysis to better service key accounts.
Prioritize availability for key accounts and work collaboratively with the Regional Sales Manager to support Sales Representatives and producers.
Enhance customer relationships by providing consultative advice on livestock performance, feed formulations, ingredient quality, and production management, including regular farm visits to understand the environments in which our products are used and observe product efficacy.
Support new product development through customer feedback, market research, and company-administered research trials of innovative new feed and nutrition products.
Maintain organized and accurate databases for product formulations, customer records, and research data, and maintain electronic records and signatures on customer formulas.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by assisting in registering new products with the CFIA and liaising with regulatory bodies on feed formulation labels and customer formulas.
Work with the production team to support quality assurance and control programs, including GMP and HACCP initiatives, ensuring consistency and accuracy in custom formulations.


Sc. focused on Animal Nutrition or Animal Health, with a focus on swine and/or poultry nutrition.
~5+ years of industry experience in a technical role focused on swine nutrition.
~ A thorough understanding of swine management in Canada, including livestock health and nutrition, herd health, and marketplace knowledge.
~ Proven experience formulating both premix and complete feed rations, and confidence using feed formulation software programs (e.g., Brill/NDS, BestMix or AMTS is an asset).
~ This role is split between office time (70%), and travel in Manitoba (30%) with the sales and nutrition teams to visit Key Accounts and attend industry events, including the United States.
