On behalf of our client, Treasury Board of Canada, we are recruiting for a Technology Architect for a 1-year contract opportunity.

Activities:

· Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;

· Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;

· Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;

· Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;

· Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology;

· Provide information, direction and support for emerging technologies

· Perform impact analysis on technology changes

· Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure;

· Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend improvements;

· Coach, mentor and train the organization to perform any of the above;

· Develop and deliver presentations;

· Develop standards and guidelines for implementation and use of IT;

· Prepare architectural roadmaps and frameworks;

· Status Reports, which at a minimum include:

o Status of the assigned work activities against targets;

o Tasks and activities completed in the last reporting period;

o Planned activities to be completed in the next reporting period;

o Status and flow of work activities/deliverables;

o Potential issues/outstanding issues;

· Conceptual Architecture Model(s) (Business, Data, Applications, Technology);

· Architectural evolution plans;

· Strategy/Business Capability maps;

· Gap analysis;

· Feasibility reports;

· Impact assessments;

· Recommendations/improvements;

· Architectural and/or Strategic Roadmaps;

· Materials for coaching or mentoring

Requirements:

· Minimum of 120 months of work experience in the analysis and development of at least ONE of the following:

o Process development or mapping

· Minimum of 120 months of work experience conducting analysis of each of the following:

o Business and technical impacts; and

· Minimum of 120 months of work experience:

o Analyzing and documenting existing technology architecture; and

o Designing the target architecture; and

o Conducting feasibility, impact and cost analysis for the migration of IM/IT architectures.

· Experience with the development of technical architectures, strategies and frameworks

· Experience in the following:

o Developing proposals regarding the conceptualization and feasibility of projects or planned investments; and

o Establishing the related costs of those projects

· Experience leading/facilitating customer engagement meetings.
