As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for heavy industrial structural engineering. The successful candidate must have demonstrated success working within a multi-disciplined heavy industrial environment, ideally as a consulting engineer. Mentorship of new and junior employees is a key part of this role and our organization. Preparation of engineering designs and related documents for various projects
Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
Collaborate with and supervise structural team, comprised of engineers, designers, project coordinators, and others, to develop engineering design and related documents
Meet with clients to understand project needs and scope requirements
Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues to ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards
Manage client relations at both a technical and commercial level to achieve client satisfaction and leverage further opportunities
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural and registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.5-8 years of structural engineering experience
~ Proven experience engineering for heavy industrial projects
~ Experience in the design of concrete and steel structures
~ Proven experience and demonstrated understanding of delivering projects on schedule, on budget, in scope at the required quality and achieving client satisfaction
~ Building design is an asset, retaining wall, substructures
~ Technical competence and strong attention to detail
