Our organization:CoDevelopment Canada (CoDev) is a Vancouver-based non-profit that works for social justice in Latin America and Canada. We build solidarity-based partnerships between trade unions and civil society organizations in Canada and Latin America to protect and advance workers’ rights, foster gender equity, strengthen public education, engage Canadians in global issues, and promote fair trade and community development.
The Role: The Program Director manages, monitors, evaluates, and reports on international solidarity projects, international exchange activities, and solidarity actions between Latin American and Canadian partners. In line with the organizational philosophy of CoDevelopment Canada, the Program Director facilitates solidarity-based partnerships between Latin American and Canadian partners . The Program Director is responsible for communications with Latin American and Canadian partners, as well as the preparation and presentation of project proposals and reports on CoDevelopment Canada’s work. This role reports to the Executive Director. The Program Director is periodically required to work irregular hours and travel domestically and overseas several times per year.
0.80 full-time (30 hours per week). Starting annual salary of $56,132.24, plus generous vacation, pension, and benefits package. This is a unionized position. Terms and conditions as per the Collective Agreement with CUPE 1004.
