Job Details:

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Substation Design Engineer for our Mississauga, Ontario office. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare steady state and transient studies using ETAP, SKM, PSSE, CDEGS or PSCAD.
  2. Prepare studies such as load flow, short circuit, Arc Flash, grounding, TOV, Corona, EMF, induction studies, etc.
  3. Prepare study reports that are clear and well written.
  4. Provide guidance to junior engineer on how to complete work.
  5. Prepare proposal writeups and estimates based on client Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  6. Provide percent complete as well as Estimated Time to Complete estimates when requested by project managers or lead engineers.
  7. Provide input into improvement ideas during project execution and close-out.
Requirements:
  1. University degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. 5+ years of working experience in Electrical Engineering.
  3. The ideal candidate will have experience working in consulting firms.
  4. Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
  5. Possess exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project).
  6. The ideal candidate will possess experience with high voltage substations for renewable and electrical utility clients.
Additional Information:
