Our Regina Branch is looking for a Commercial Estimator

The Commercial Estimator will help ECCO Supply grow our existing sales of mechanical equipment, grilles, and other related products to our Bid & Spec customer base. The successful incumbent will accurately and efficiently take-off plans, itemize products and equipment in preparation for quoting.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties:

  1. Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Manufacturing
  2. Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
  3. Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  4. Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
  5. Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.

Commercial Estimator:

  1. Complete engineered drawing take-offs of commercial grilles/registers/diffusers (GRD) & mechanical equipment
  2. Assemble accurate and timely tenders including quantities and sell prices for the commercial GRD & mechanical equipment
  3. Project management once successful job tenders have been awarded
  4. Order project material and equipment as required
  5. Follow up and track shipments, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries as per client specifications
  6. Ensure invoices are processed on a regular basis with correct and accurate pricing
  7. Identify and solicit potential clients
  8. Assist and share in customer sales and technical calls requiring assistance
  9. Promote and secure business from all aspects of the HVAC industry
  10. Ensure all customers are treated in a professional manner and attend to queries, disputes, etc. promptly
  11. Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding performance
  12. Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all quotes submitted to clients, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and market share
  13. Maintain accurate record of all project tender quotations and activity reports submitted
  14. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
  15. Participate in annual inventory count
  16. Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO Supply, suppliers, and/or customers
  17. Participate in industry-related associations, i.e., monthly meetings
  18. Work closely under the supervision of more senior ECCO estimators who will provide mentoring and coaching
  19. Other duties as deemed necessary by management
