Warehouse Technician

Reporting to the Manager of Site Coordination, Supply & Logistics, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for working collaborativley with the Planning Department, Reliability department, vendors and the internal Procurement Team, to forecast, provide reporting, expedite and provide lead times of commodities for scheduling jobs for equipment waiting for parts. In addition, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for reporting inventory stocking level, running Inventory cycle counts, obsolete examination & providing inventory usage trends, and Commodity lead-time for future forecasting and provisional settings. The Specialist works closely with the Procurement team and their queues, provides quick reviews and adjustments for the avoidance of wasted spend.
Responsible for proactively compiling, monitoring and managing Collaborative Planning report to ensure adequate stocking levels / recognize shortages and deficiencies, in support of customers in maintenance, planning and operations.• Generate reports for non-stocked items that have three or more inventory turns. Provide directional reports to Master Data.• Analyze Procurement Specialist’s daily queue and provide direction whether to execute procurement , hold purchase requisition, or transfer stock between plants. • Generate and present stock balance reports, weekly, between site and warehouse to reduce overspend on inventory.• Generate reports and analyze data to perform root cause analysis on issues that impact inventory performance and implement appropriate corrective actions to mitigate lost of production. • Produce dashboard for Supply Chain for presentation to senior management for month ends. • Generate yearly obsolescence reports categorizing inventory items. Prepare and present the report to Operations leaders explaining findings and recommendations for their review and approval of year-end removal of dead stock.• Develop and implement key performance indicator (KPI) for a Inventory Cycle count schedule to guarantee that inventory items are counted once annually and fast movers counted quarterly. Provide the Warehouse Supervisor with daily cycle counts to align with the KPI program. Ensure delivery of the KPIs by inspecting and evaluating work in progress, identifying any problem areas, and directing remedial action.High School diploma• Completion of specialized training courses in management, inventory management, or computer software is an asset • College diploma in Parts ticket, Supply chain management (CSCP)(CPIM) is an asset• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Supply chain• Minimum three (3) years of experience in an inventory analysis role• Five (5) years of extensive Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Power point) and SAP (Materials Movement module)• Experience with Remote camp/fly-in, fly-out • Experience in the Arctic is an asset
Digital Literacy skills: Knowledge of digital tools and technology. Proficient with standard office software such as Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.• Ability to Work in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature, moving mechanical parts, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
