SSENSE has garnered critical acclaim as both an e-commerce engine and a producer of cultural content, generating an average of 100 million monthly page views, with approximately 80% of its audience between the ages of 18 to 40.Job DescriptionAbout the Team:Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering and Facilities, the Senior Automation Engineer will implement and improve automated systems and or solutions along with defined processes at the main SSENSE Fulfillment Center. They will contribute to shaping the future of e-commerce and retail customer experiences. The ideal candidate demonstrates a unique balance of analytical skills, people skills, supply chain experience, and systems knowledge.Why Join Us:Design and update effective large scale systems to meet functionality requirements andEnsure compliance with regulations and company standardsSuggest, develop and improve performance metrics for operations and maintenance teamsCreate and maintain documentation related to systems and processes and create end to end testing procedures where requiredProvide technical support and familiarization training to Ops and Maintenance team membersLead design and continuous improvement projects with vendors for equipment and software, and troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, provide corrective actions and documentationQualificationsHow To Excel In This Role:A minimum of 5 years experience managing similar functions in a large automated facility, and aminimum of 2 years experience with industrial automationThorough understanding of a breadth of distribution center processesPrior experience working with retail operations systems including order management systems, warehouse management systems, distributed order management, middleware integrationPrior experience in data mining, manipulating large datasets, querying databases, data analysis and reporting, an assetAdvanced knowledge of Excel, Autocad, automation frameworks, and test suites, an assetWhat Sets You apart:Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindsetSelf-motivated, and highly analytical with excellent negotiation/influencing expertiseTeam player with a high sense of accountability and ownershipAbility to thrive in a fast-paced performance-driven environment, dealing with ambiguity and changeAdditional InformationPerks And Benefits:Extended health and dental benefits, including comprehensive mental health programs and coverageParental top up programGenerous Employee DiscountAccess to telemedicine and employee and family assistance programSavings and retirement plan matchingcontributionsSSENSE is an equal opportunity employer.
