Product OwnerApex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing group has an opening for Product Owner to work within and across teams to create, maintain, and continuously prioritize product releases for projects sales origination platform at our client, a large Financial Institution.Position: 6 month contract with opportunity to convert and extensionsClient: Big Five BankLocation: Hybrid (1-2 days a week) Toronto, Downtown CoreWhat You’ll Be DoingThe Sales Origination Product Delivery team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing digital products with capabilities that address business objectives and enable optimal Frontline user & client experience. As a Product Owner of the Frontline sales origination platform, you will support the product team in delivering product iterations that satisfies users, clients and business partner needs while maximizing business value.In this role, you are accountable for being the voice of the user and prioritizing features & deliverables. You are accountable for understanding needs of various stakeholders (lines of business, technology, risk, governance, etc.) and ensuring alignment across various groups regarding the product iterations. You are accountable for ensuring that the product delivery team understands, and is aligned to the vision and path of delivering the product iteration. You are responsible for monitoring budget spend, benefits realization, and making choices that increase overall team efficiency and maximizes value.How You’ll SucceedSupport the product team with key deliverables – working with stakeholders, business partners, and analytics to understand the business/user/customer problem and develop a product backlog that solves for user problems, meets business objectives and prioritizes work with the maximum value. Support in determining/analyzing success metrics & benefits.Identify & document key processes and procedures – working closely with the product team and key stakeholders, serve as process subject matter expert for the assigned product, projects and/or initiativesAssist with user stories & product requirement creation?– support product team in the development of user stories in a collaborative fashion with business system analysts, design, technology teams, lines of business and various members of the product team.Work with and drive alignment with stakeholders – assist product team in ensuring that we are delivering the right initiatives at the right time and keeping our stakeholders engaged throughout the delivery life-cycle. Understand and support the team in managing competing needs & priorities.Requirements3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar roleCRM system experienceSAP Salesforce, but Pega preferredStrong communication skills and experience working with large, cross-functional teams to promote adoptionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExperience working with Agile methodologiesProven experience working on cross-product platformsExperience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processesFamiliarity with Agile project management tools, such as JIRABachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplinesWho You AreYou're digitally savvy.
