Lead Kafka and event architecture for a hybrid Montreal modernization project, working onsite two to three days each week as specified.
This Critical Integration & Data Architect role supports Tech Talent International’s large consulting client and a public sector crown corporation. You will design API-First and Event-Driven strategies, define data contracts, and guide secure, resilient exchange between systems, partners, and digital platforms. Permanent or long-term contract arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define architecture for critical integration services
- Design Event Architecture using Kafka and exchange models
- Establish security, traceability, and observability standards
- Contribute to architecture reviews and technical governance
- Mentor internal teams through knowledge transfer
Requirements:
- Ten or more years of architecture or integration experience
- Strong experience with APIs, Kafka, and distributed architectures
- Experience in mission-critical transactional environments
- AWS and Kubernetes experience
- Ability to influence and provide technical leadership
