As a Translation/Localization Quality and Vendor Manager at Alexa Translations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all translation and localization projects. You will be responsible for overseeing quality processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working as part of the resources management team and collaborating closely with project managers, you will contribute to the enhancement of our translation services and uphold our reputation for excellence.
Define quality requirements and frameworks for assigned clients.
Develop client-specific training and testing programs to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure adherence to company procedures as it pertains to the translation process and improve performance to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate with project management teams to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow between teams for assigned clients.
Provide guidance and support to the team in resolving client escalations, advising on the best course of action, and following up with translation teams as necessary.
Contribute to the improvement of systems and procedures by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing quality management methodologies.
Conduct regular quality control evaluations of internal linguists and vendors, collect quality data, and visualize findings.
Analyze quality data to identify trends, define corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Investigate client and internal review results proactively, following up with vendors or internal teams on projects where quality expectations are not met.
Collaborate with the Director of Resources to recruit, test, and onboard new vendors, negotiate rates as well as address any underperforming vendors through retraining or replacement.
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
Proven experience of 3+ years in translation and localization quality management, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Fluency in both English and French
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive actionable insights.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in translation and localization, such as CAT tools, and Plunet
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within agreed deadlines
