Working with a global network of partners and with headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, we maintain offices in North America, South America, the U.An Intermediate Accountant is a dynamic individual who has a strong technical background and sound business skills and will work extensively to support accurate financial reporting and internal cross functional projects.
Reporting to the regional Controller, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle revenue accounting, including, but not limited to:
Managing and contributing to the set-up and invoicing of all contracted sales, including both Professional Services and Cloud transactions across all entities (European, North American, etc.) Working closely with the accounts receivable and customer teams to help understand non-standard client billing scenarios and promptly respond to questions
Managing month-end duties and reconciliations for a selection of general ledger accounts
Closely monitoring the accounts receivable subledger and submit journal entries to maintain an accurate account balance for month-end reporting
Ensuring data integrity across our systems including Salesforce and Sage Intacct and be the point of contact for internal questions on relevant customer data
Supporting the accounts receivable team with cash collections on an ongoing basis
Supporting our financial statement audit by providing support to external auditors
Contributing to large scale projects that assist in Prophix's ability to scale our operations with our continued growth
To shine in this role, you will bring a rare combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.
Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field required
~ Strong technology skills, including advanced Excel skills and experience with cloud-based ERP systems
~ Ability to understand multi-contract and complex billing scenarios process with a high degree of accuracy
~ Proven track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
~ Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.

Previous experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce
Experience invoicing and working with companies across Europe considered an asset
Fluency in French considered an asset.
