JOB TITLE: Business Operations Analyst, Car Business Unit

REPORTS TO: Operations Director, Canada

JOB PURPOSE: Support the operations director and commercial team in Pirelli Canada to oversee and manage all processes related to Forecast Management, Strategic Planning, Market Intelligence Reporting, Sales Reporting and Programs Management in order to enhance market share and sales performance.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the evolving mission of the Commercial team by executing and overseeing a wide range of projects on data analysis, product systems management, market, customer and competitor intelligence, forecasting and demand planning and programs management.
  • Influence the design of strategic plan by gathering information from the team, collaborating with HQ Milan on strategic plan design and target-setting based on historical data and market signals for the future.
  • Support the Sales team meet the Management Plan $ sales, unit sales and profit objectives.
  • Continuously study the market conditions to assess the potential sales of products and services related to the tire industry.
  • Gather and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it, from various sources: tire associations, internal sources, market research, competitor analysis.
  • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations on competitor market share, products and ranges.
  • Understand financial impact and variances, interpretate the data and make recommendations to upper management on how to improve processes and strategic moves.
  • Apply all Pirelli internal data sources into shared drive for accessibility.
  • Be responsible for the monthly forecasting: 3rd week of Month and 1st week of T+1 month.
  • Manage month- to- month reporting with Finance, follow-up through the month the Actual result vs. forecast, striving for forecast accuracy improvement.
  • Report on sales team attainments and achievements in comparison with the targets set on a monthly basis.
  • Provide the sales team with product data analysis, reports.
  • Be proactive about improving the current reporting systems and processes; to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as an internal training of reporting and data interpretation for the sales team, in this way influencing the upskilling of sales force on taking decision based on data and facts, improving margins and ROI.
  • Support the Product Update file (Filling in each IP description/size /tread depth/priority etc.)
  • Understand direct/indirect IP switch, new products uploads etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on finalizing pricing data base.
  • Share all the process from design, execution, verification and cashing up with Operations director ensuring segregation of duties.
  • Create and update operations presentation materials as needed to support business building efforts.
  • Ensure full compliance with all corporate policies.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 - 5 Years of relevant experience on data analytics working with Advanced Excel, SAP
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or similar
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Python experience preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Resilient to a high paced environment
  • Great at building relationships with stakeholders at different levels in the organization
  • Strong communication, active listening and teamworking skills
  • Project management knowledge, being able to plan, do, review and standardize, always looking for improvements and new way of engaging sales teams and customers in learning about our product and brand.
