Section Chief - Engineering, Structures Integration
Bombardier is a global leader, creating innovative and game-changing planes. You will be part of the Aircraft Structural Integration team whose mandate is to design and integrate state-of-the-art airframe solutions into the Bombardier products. As part of the Engineering team, the Design Integration team works collaboratively with sustaining and new product development platforms which could include Systems Integration, Completions, Final Assembly lines, Customer Support, and the Regulatory Authorities.
Manage a team of Design Integration Specialists.
Establish employee's yearly objectives, evaluate the employee's performance, and make salary and career progression recommendations.
Ensure a good, positive, and healthy working environment for the employees (communication, recognition, coaching, and career development plans/opportunities).
Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated to the tasks to support aircraft development and support production and in-service issue resolution.
Manage and resolve priority conflicts within own department and with internal customers.
Be accountable for your group's performance - deliver on-time, within budget and with quality to support the business objectives.
Participate in the organization of departmental governance.
Participate in budget preparation and have accountability for managing financial resource.
Identify training and travel required to support to the business needs.
Manage the Structures Supplier(s) and establish weekly technical coordination meetings to meet program commitments.
You hold a Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
You have 10+ years in the aerospace industry with a strong knowledge of Design requirements/principles, and tools.
You have previous experience in Aircraft Structures and/or Systems installation design, configuration, and how its integrated to the complete aircraft.
You are a team player, working in a multidisciplinary team and can demonstrate strong organizational and managerial skills (planning structure and prioritization)
You are creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
You have knowledge of Change Management and Configuration Management
You are organized/self-motivated and bilingual (French, English) with strong verbal/written English skills.
