Work schedule:
The successful candidates will be available to work days (0730h-1930h), evenings (1130h - 1930h), nights (1930h - 0730h) and weekends.
Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
Responsibilities The Surgical Unit offers a challenging opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse with acute surgical care experience. As a member of the Health Care Team, you will support our philosophy of patient-focused care. Requirements- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Demonstrated practice or completion of the Medication Administration certification.
- Current BCLS.
- Recent experience (within the last year) caring for inpatient Surgical patients is required.
- Excellent Physical Assessment skills are required.
- Well-developed organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of professional development and continuing education is essential.
- Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard.
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
