Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent + Experience (detailed below) Description: One additional staff member is needed who will support the sheet metal department in preparing digital 3D models and manufacturing drawings (Distribution and Power Transformer Enclosures). He or She will use advanced tools to convert drawings and models into manufacturing instructions for our turret presses, plasma cutter, and laser cutter. Essential Qualifications 1. Secondary Education, or diploma/degree from technical college with a focus on fabrication/sheet metal 2. High level of proficiency in Solidworks. Experience with Radan (Hexagon), Cadman, or similar CAM software. 3. Minimum 1-5 years of general shop/design experience. Excellent Spoken/Written communication skills. Selected Duties (The list below is not the full host of roles and responsibilities - The full details of the role will be discussed with the successful candidate) A) CNC Programming Develop and maintain Rex's digital record of standard / parametric enclosure assemblies (Power or distribution). Actively implement, utilize, and improve CAM tools (Cadman, Radan, Multipunch) Cooperate with production supervisor and shop personnel to implement correct utilization of CAM Prepare reports on costing for enclosures; work to reduce scrap, rework, and inefficient handling Work in team capacity with other CNC programmer and divide work equitably. B) Other Sheet metal Fabrication Shop Duties Supporting department for quality, Robotic welding process, paint process, maintenance supervision, in-process inspection, and improvement projects, on an as requested basis Supporting department for duties for inventory management, ordering, documentation of parts, quotations, drawing preparation, productivity analysis, etc Support department function as a team, with required day-to-day tasks. Prepare 2D or 3D CAD assemblies for factory equipment on an as-needed basis, when assigned from maintenance or other departments. C) 3D Design and Drawing Preparation for Enclosure business Prepare quotation and approval drawings, liaise directly with customers. Review & accept enclosure orders, coordinate with Inside Sales and Order Entry. Facilitate with scheduling, release, and pickup/shipping Coordinate with QA to enforce ISO requirements within enclosure product line
