Requirements:

  • •Possess a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, biology, ecology or related discipline
  • •Strong research and analytical skills
  • •Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • •Strong networking skills
  • •Very organized; able to organize self and others
  • •Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs or similar (e.g. Word, Excel, Access etc)
  • •Fluent in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications:

  • •Experience working in non-profit organization, land planning, grant writing, ecology or project management
  • •Experience in relevant provincial legislation
  • •Knowledge of local flora and fauna

Job description:

  • •Coordinate and execute environmental planning projects, from successful initiation to completion of projects
  • •Project management and collaboration with clients including defining project scope, objectives, and budgets.
  • •Direct multi-disciplinary project teams and manage client and regulator communications.
  • •Research and apply for funding opportunities
  • •Conduct technical fieldwork in your area of expertise.
  • •Prepare comprehensive reports detailing site conditions, impact assessments, and recommendations.
  • •Drive business development by expanding your professional network and retaining clients.
  • •Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior staff and volunteers
  • •Developing and maintaining environmental protection program procedures and related documentation associated with monitoring programs.
