Position#: 24-164Position: Sr. Financial Analyst, Projects and M+APosition Type:Permanent No. of Positions: 1 Location: North GTA, ON Why JoinOpportunity to grow with an exciting company and contribute to future acquisitions.Well established, profitable Company with locations across Canada Competitive compensation package including Pension PlanResponsibilitiesManage financial aspects of construction projects: budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and utilizing EAC for project cost forecasting.Implement POC accounting method for accurate revenue and expense recognition.Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met.Prepare project financial reports, including cash flow projections and cost-to-complete analysis.Collaborate with project managers on budget development and financial guidance.Review and approve project-related invoices, purchase orders, and change orders.Conduct regular project cost reviews and reconciliations to analyze variances.Assist in project risk assessment and recommend mitigation strategies.Liaise with external stakeholders to resolve project-related financial issues.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.Conduct financial assessments for mergers and acquisitions, analyze financial implications and risks, and assist in contract negotiations.Contribute to strategic planning with financial evaluations and oversee monthly financial closure in line with GAAP.Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and support audits, budgeting, forecasting, tax filing, and regulatory compliance. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field CPA designation is strongly preferred.Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in the construction industry, with a focus on project accounting.Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, project costing methodologies, and financial scrutiny.Experience in finance/accounting/M&A with 3-5+ years preferred.Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and regulatory frameworks pertaining to corporate governance, acquisitions, and employment regulations.We thank all candidates in advance.
