*We are looking for a compassionate and caring LPN with a passion for the elderly to join our team at our beautiful Long-Term Care Facilities located in the Vancouver Islands on a temporary basis.. *
*Locations: *_*Nelson,BC*_
*Contract: *Temporary contract (3-6 _month approx._) with possibility of extension.
*Start Date: *_The sooner the better_
*Schedule:* To Be Decided *(Full-time schedule is guaranteed.)*
*Compensation:* $45.00 p/h plus travel expense, accommodation and meal reimbursement will be provided by Staff On Call.

*Responsibilities and Duties:*
* Performs assessments.
* Plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care to residents.
* Administers oral and subcutaneous medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
* Directly supervises care staff to meet resident's needs.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:*
* Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
* Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC.
* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
* Knowledge and background in Dementia care (preferred).

*To* *mitigate the risk COVID-19 transmission among persons in our care, patients, residents and staff, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long-term care facilities. While this order is in place, staff are limited to working in only one (1) private long-term care hospital (facility), licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital, or provincial mental health facility.*
*The successful applicant for this job posting must provide satisfactory proof, or have such proof on file, that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination and any required COVID-19 booster vaccination.
