We specialize in providing medications for patients with chronic and complex medical conditions, such as HIV, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and more. Our team consists of experienced pharmacists, technicians, and support staff who are dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients.
*Preference will be given candidates who are *proficient with Kroll Pharmacy Management* Software and experienced in *troubleshooting* adjudication issues with public and private payers.
The Registered Practical Nurse will be primarily responsible for assisting our patients navigate insurance challenges and available provincial/federal programs to make their medications more affordable. TB testing may be required
* Communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals and other key player to support patients through their treatment journey
* Liase with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
* Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients and clinics and provide required updates
* Maintain confidentiality of patient healthcare information
* Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance coverage and reimbursement policies, and communicate these changes to healthcare providers and patients.
*Experience working with Patient Support Programs (Asset)
* Reimbursement experience (asset)
* Understanding of provincial and private drug coverage criteria
* Familiarity with the Special Authorization process for both public and private insurance in assigned territory.
* Strong computer and Technical skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, tablets, web-portals/internet use
* Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management System is an asset
* Accurate data collection and data integrity
* Time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
