Job Title: Surface Land Administrator

Location: Head Office, Calgary, AB

Employment Type: Full-time in the office

Reporting to: Team Lead, Surface Land

Position Overview:

Surface Land Administrator to assist the Saskatchewan asset teams and the surface land department with day-to-day duties associated to acquisitions and file maintenance.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Assist the area coordinators with the administration of their areas including auditing and preparing landowner and construction packages
  • Updated Land Rite system and maintain files throughout their life cycle
  • Daily maintenance of files including renewals, amendments, prepare cheque requests, update vendors, code invoices, caveat registration, reclamation certificates
  • Monitor and address obligations and compliance requirements
  • Assist with acquisitions or divestments (generating documentation, data entry)

Primary Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of surface land acquisition (crown and freehold)
  • Surface Land experience in Saskatchewan
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of surface land principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong working knowledge of Land Rite (Pandell), GeoScout, ETS & Spin II
  • Experience with Abadata, OpenInvoice, Pandell Roads, and Qbyte is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate
  • Valid Alberta and Saskatchewan Commissioners for Oaths appointment
  • Land Administration Certificate, diploma or equivalent program is desired
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
