As a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the organization's financial planning, forecasting, and analysis functions.

Job description

You will be responsible for providing insightful financial guidance to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making processes, and ensuring the alignment of financial objectives with overall business goals. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Lead the development of the annual operating budget, long-range strategic plans, and periodic forecasts. Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to gather inputs, analyze trends, and assess financial performance. Identify key drivers of financial performance and develop scenarios to support decision-making processes.
• Oversee the analysis and monitoring of operational expenses (OPEX Management), including personnel costs, overhead expenses, and other operating expenditures. Develop OPEX budgets and forecasts in alignment with overall financial objectives and strategic priorities. Identify areas of inefficiency or overspending and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations. Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, investments, and strategic projects.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business dynamics, challenges, and opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and business leaders, offering financial insights and recommendations to support operational effectiveness. Foster collaboration between finance and other departments to drive financial literacy and accountability across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting department to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data related to OPEX. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of OPEX accounts and analysis of variances. Work collaboratively with accounting teams to streamline financial reporting processes and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance. Conduct regular reviews of financial results with department heads to assess performance against targets and identify areas for improvement. Implement initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Continuously assess and improve financial planning and analysis processes to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analytics to drive decision-making excellence. Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize financial reporting and analysis capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or equivalent experience required; CPA or MBA preferred

Experience:
• 7 or more years of experience is required in financial planning & analysis

Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business performance and delivering actionable insights.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytical tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, SQL, Power BI, Access and Data Cube (OLAP) architecting
• Experience with ERP systems and data extraction knowledge
