Company Description Metro College of Technology has been a career college registered and regulated under the Ontario Career Colleges Act since 1992. Our programs range from Engineering Design & Technology, Accounting, Payroll Administration, ERP, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Digital Marketing. Additionally the college provides co-op opportunities for our graduates to help them enter the work force. This is a part-time Data Science Instructor position and it may lead to a full-time one. Currently the teaching activities are conducted online with some in-person exams. Responsibilities Prepare teaching plan and teaching materials Deliver instructions to students Guide students with mini projects Review students' homework and provide feedback to them for error correction Mark tests, exams and mini projects Provide additional support to slow students Participate in instructor training meetings Support students with job search Qualifications Master's degree or higher in data science, data analysis, statistics, or a related field strong data science, statistics, or related knowledge and skills 4-5 years of work experience as data analyst or data scientist Experience in delivering instruction to post-secondary students and success experience in teaching adults is a great asset. Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and good experience with Tableau and Power BI Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Python, R, SAS, and SQL Good experience in Google Analytics 4 Solid knowledge and skills in machine learning, deep learning, cloud computing, generative AI, and big data analytics Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as a cooperative member in a team Experience working with remote teams and delivering online instruction is a plus Teaching Days and Time: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, 9:00 - 14:00
