The Opportunity:

Our client is a renowned international manufacturer of process and laboratory analytical instruments. We are supporting them in their search for a Field Service Specialist to manage the Ontario territory.

As a successful Field Service Specialist you will apply your instrumentation / chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance. On-site service tasks may include simple-to-complex repairs, preventive maintenance, certification, refresher training and more.

They are a well respected brand with a strong people focused approach and high staff retention.

You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email and video. The ability to juggle/prioritize a busy schedule are essential as well as maintaining positive customer relations and collaborating with local Sales colleagues and customer support. Field travel will be required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working with a wide range of cutting edge analytical instruments.
  • Owning the service territory and priorities within it.
  • Scheduling service calls.
  • Parts inventory management.
  • Prep calls with clients pre visit.
  • Reviewing quotes for service.
  • Preventative maintenance visits (PMs).
  • Emergency call outs.
  • Installs of new products.
  • IQOQ.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline.
  • Ideally experience with our clients or competitors instruments.
  • Ideally previous field service experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others.
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
