Do you have a passion for nursing? We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the PG Surgery Centre.
In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Northern Health patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at NH, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Clinical Resource Nurse provides leadership in the delivery of care activities in defined areas of clinical expertise. Supervises and provides work direction to staff. Acts as a clinical resource for nurses, nursing students and the interdisciplinary team. Assists staff in providing quality care and related quality assurance requirements for an identified patient population by providing information based on theory/practice, assessing clinical/technical skills and participating in the direct patient care as appropriate, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: : Monday to Friday, Days, 07:00 to 15:00

Baccalaureate in Nursing, plus 5 (five) years recent clinical experience in a related program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• CPR level C and/or Code Management.
• Leadership: Promotes staff morale, cooperation, assertiveness and risk-taking, creative planning for change and innovations, implementation of NH policies or other protocols, and ongoing professional development of self and others.
• Management: Manages time and resources, implementing activities to promote cooperation among relevant others, supervising responsibilities of others, collaboration across disciplines and related activities.
• Integrates best practice from nursing and other health-related disciplines and the humanities, arts and sciences disciplines into professional practice.
• Human Caring & Relationship Centered practice: Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others, sensitive to diverse cultures and preferences, client advocacy and social justice concerns.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the clients, families, the public, medical staff and the members of the interdisciplinary team using oral, written and computer communication means.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data (from multiple sources) to problem-solve effectively.
• Teaching: Ability to transmit information intended to instruct clients and others about topics essential to health care and well-being.
• Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through appropriate / prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions.
• Ability to operate related equipment including proven ability to utilize computer technology.
