Our client is a well-established and growing Tier 1 manufacturer with several plants operating and a view to further acquisitions and expansion. Profitable, stable and ready to renew systems and procedures to facilitate current and future growth and development. This role will be a key new addition to the Engineering Team.
Responsible for drawing review to ensure manufacturability (material selection, proper machining techniques, finishes, hardness)
# Liaison with electrical designers to define and review electrical specifications
# Participates in cross functional APQP meetings, providing technical specifications to internal team to ensure timelines are met
# Analyzes and evaluates internal and external fabrication for manufacturability and cost
# Provides specifications and quotations for purchased and manufactured parts
# University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis is required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (metal forming, robotics, automation). Theoretical understanding of electrical devices and servo systems. Valid Driver’s license. Strong technical and analytical aptitudes for problem solving. Computer literate – AutoCAD, MS Word, and Excel.
