We are currently looking for Prep Cook to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time contract position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s John Island Camp location in Spanish, Ontario.

Under the leadership of the Kitchen Manager, the Prep Cook responsible for food preparation, meal service, complying with health and food safety and cleanliness standards..

START DATE: May 6, 2024 - September 2, 2024

LOCATION: Spanish, ON

RATE OF PAY: TBD

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain and clean work space that adheres to health and safety guidelines
  • Support in the food preparation, meal service, and daily cleaning
  • Adhere to the YMCA ‘s and John Island Camp policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Complete dishes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Association

Qualifications

  • Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) considered an asset
  • WHMIS Certifications
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50lb
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
