Job Description: Commercial Estimator

Our Regina Branch is looking for a Commercial Estimator who will help ECCO Supply grow our existing sales of mechanical equipment, grilles, and other related products to our Bid & Spec customer base. The successful incumbent will accurately and efficiently take-off plans, itemize products and equipment in preparation for quoting.

1. General Duties:
2. Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Manufacturing.
3. Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees.
4. Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
5. Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
6. Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.
7. Commercial Estimator:
8. Complete engineered drawing take-offs of commercial grilles/registers/diffusers (GRD) & mechanical equipment.
9. Assemble accurate and timely tenders including quantities and sell prices for the commercial GRD & mechanical equipment.
10. Project management once successful job tenders have been awarded.
11. Order project material and equipment as required.
12. Follow up and track shipments, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries as per client specifications.
13. Ensure invoices are processed on a regular basis with correct and accurate pricing.
14. Identify and solicit potential clients.
15. Assist and share in customer sales and technical calls requiring assistance.
16. Promote and secure business from all aspects of the HVAC industry.
17. Ensure all customers are treated in a professional manner and attend to queries, disputes, etc. promptly.
18. Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding performance.
19. Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all quotes submitted to clients, while striving to maintain the maximum profit margin and market share.
20. Maintain an accurate record of all project tender quotations and activity reports submitted.
21. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
22. Participate in the annual inventory count.
23. Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO Supply, suppliers, and/or customers.
24. Participate in industry-related associations, i.e., monthly meetings.
25. Work closely under the supervision of more senior ECCO estimators who will provide mentoring and coaching.
26. Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
